Read moreThe best Christmas gift? A bike or balance bike for sure! But how do you wrap a bike under the Christmas tree, so your little oneâs eyes twinkle at the first sight of it? We have a few handy tips for you. And don't worry, you can do it even if wrapping paper is not your best friend.
Wrapping is an important part of every Christmas gift. If you put some care into it, you will create truly magical moments â especially for children.
A RASCAL children's bike or balance bike should stand out under the Christmas tree. It should be the main star of the evening! We have 3 creative ways for you to wrap RASCAL bike beautifully and effectively so that your little ones will jump for joy when they see it. We list these tips according to difficulty. This way, you will make the most of it no matter whether you are a master at Christmas decoration or rather inexperienced in packing.
Before we start packing, weâll point out some important things to be clear about.
If you brought your RASCAL bike or balance bike from a shop, it came assembled, without the original box (unless you asked for it). In this case, you have no box to pack the present in. But donât worry â weâve thought of everything. In points 1 and 3, weâll show you how to wrap the bike without the need for a large box.
As soon as your little one sees their dream bike, you can bet, theyâll be keen to try it out. Thatâs why we recommend you put the bike under the Christmas tree assembled and set up, ready to be ridden.
If you have made your order via the e-shop, your RASCAL bike arrives in a box with the handlebars, seatpost and pedals dismounted (bikes with 20âł wheels and larger have also their front wheel dismounted). To learn how to assemble the bike when it comes in the box, see our instructional videos HERE.
Tip: If you dare, assemble the bike on Christmas Eve with the help of your little one. Your child will get to know the bike better and be proud of it. Whatâs more, you can have so much fun doing this together. In this case, you can wrap the bike in its original box â for inspiration see the Christmas wrapping in point 2.
Requirements: your RASCAL bike (+ original bike box), Christmas lights, a ribbon
Light it up! The easiest way to see children's eyes twinkle is to place colourful Christmas lights around the bike! If you are not very skilled in gift wrapping and have no extra time, arrange the bike in Christmas lights. This is a creative, yet super easy way that will highlight the "main star" under the tree among other presents.
Decorate the bike or box with lights or a Christmas ribbon. The lights will catch your childâs attention first â and if you leave the box open, your little one will immediately run over to check whatâs inside!
Tip: Use battery-powered Christmas lights to make the present portable and easy to manipulate with.
Requirements: your RASCAL bike, wrapping paper, tape, ribbons
For sure, none of your childâs friends will find such a huge present under the Christmas tree! Wandering whatâs insideâŚ
If you want to graduate the excitement with a real surprise, wrap the bike box in Christmas paper, add the biggest ribbon you can find, and let your little one slowly unwrap their dream bike.
Together, you can then assemble the bike. Your little rider will be happy to set the bike for the ride. And when he sits on it for the first time, youâll see the real joy in his eyes!
Tip: Decorate the box with lights for an even bigger âWOW effectâ.
Requirements: your RASCAL bike, a large sheet of wrapping paper, adhesive tape, ribbons
Finally, here comes the real challenge! For those who dare, there is the option to wrap the whole bike in Christmas wrapping paper â and since Christmas time is about having lights everywhere, letâs add some!
Your little one will immediately know what a great gift they have got, but they will be itching to find out if it is exactly the bike they have wished for. The joy and excitement from the present will be multiplied. Pieces of Christmas paper will fly everywhere! (Warning: you probably wonât save the paper for next year.)
Carefully wrap up all the bike parts, including the brake hoses and pedals. This method definitely requires more time and patience â but the result is worth it!
Tip: Unwrapping can be even more fun if you wrap each bike part separately,
Whether you choose a plain bike box decorated with lights, use standard Christmas wrapping paper, or even spend extra time with detailed wrapping of the bike itself, your RASCAL bike will undoubtedly stand out among the other presents under the tree. In the end â what matters most is your childâs smile from ear to ear. We wish you a Merry Christmas full of happiness and joy!
